Demolition Of Supertech Twin Towers In Noida To Begin In Two Weeks, Says Supreme Court

New Delhi, February 7 (TNA) The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday said that the demolition of the illegal twin 40-storied towers of real estate developer Supertech in Noida will begin in two weeks. The apex court has also directed the Noida Authority to convene a meeting of concerned agencies within the next 72-hours to finalise the schedule for demolition of Emerald Court.

The SC had on January 17 approved the proposal for the demolition agency finalised by the Noida Authority. Supertech was asked to sign a contract with demolition agency "Edifice" within a week.

The Supreme Court had also asked Supertech to refund the money with interest to all home-buyers who have booked flats in the Emerald Court project by February 28, the bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and Bela Trivedi said while hearing petitions by homebuyers on Monday.
