Delhi Police Busts International Drug Racket, Two Foreigners Arrested

New Delhi, February 24 (TNA) Two foreign women have been arrested with cocaine worth Rs 10 crores and contraband of 1850 kg. It is said to be the largest seizure of cocaine in ten years. The Special Cell of Delhi Police busted the international gang supplying cocaine. This gang operated from South America. Along with this, drug smugglers of the gang's network are active in the surrounding areas including Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Delhi.

1850 kg of best quality cocaine has been recovered from the possession of the accused. The value of the seized cocaine is said to be around Rs 10 crore, described as the biggest seizure of cocaine in last ten years by Delhi Police.

Special Cell's Counter Intelligence (CI) DCP Manishi Chandra said that the arrested drug traffickers have been identified as Maurey Erna Gangadian (45) resident of Quta, South America, and Namubiru Janat alias Lisa (35) resident of Uganda, Surinam. Namubiru was living in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
