CNG Gets Costlier Again in Delhi-NCR; Prices Hiked for Second Time in Three Days

New Delhi, May 17 (TNA) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has become costlier again in Delhi-NCR, with prices increased by Rs 1 per kg from Sunday, marking the second hike in just three days. The fresh revision has pushed the CNG rate in Delhi to Rs 80.09 per kg, while consumers in Noida and Ghaziabad will now pay Rs 88.70 per kg.

The latest hike comes after prices were raised by Rs 2 per kg on May 15, adding to the burden on auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi operators and private vehicle owners across the region. With this increase, Delhi’s CNG rate has crossed the Rs 80 mark for the first time.

The revised prices are expected to impact daily commuters and transport services in the National Capital Region, where CNG is widely used as a cheaper alternative fuel. Officials have not issued any immediate clarification on the reason for the latest revision.
