BJP Leader Makes Insensitive Remark On Death of Sitaram Yechury's Son, Social Media Slams Him Big Time

Lucknow, April 22 (TNA) A senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Bihar, Mithlesh Kumar Tiwari on Thursday came under heavy fire from politicians and sharp criticism when he made a very insensitive Tweet on the passing away of Sitaram Yechury's 35-year-old son Ashish.

The eldest son of the Communist leader passed away on Thursday morning at a medical facility in Gurugram after a two-week battle with COVID. After Yechury broke the heart-gutting news to the world, the BJP leader, who is the party vice-president in Bihar, responded to the Tweet in a very insensitive and inhuman manner.

This at a time when the country is facing a lethal second wave of the dreaded virus, killing thousands every day.

Tiwari in response to Yechury's Tweet wrote: Chinese supporter CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury's son Ashish Yechury dies from Chinese Corona.

All hell broke loose after this and the social media, including some politicians like Omar Abdullah, pounced on him.

Actress Swara Bhaskar, celebrated journalist Vir Sanghvi, Congress leader Rajeev Shukla slammed the BJP leader for his comments. Shukla in fact demanded that JP Nadda expel this leader. The tweet was soon deleted.
