Bihar SHO Killed During Raid On Suspected Cattle Thieves

Patna, August 16 (TNA) In a tragic incident, a 47-year-old Station House Officer (SHO), Nand Kishor Yadav, on Tuesday lost his life during a raid to apprehend suspected cattle thieves in Samastipur district, Bihar. Leading the operation, Yadav sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his head. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Begusarai, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The Samastipur superintendent of police, Vinay Tiwari, informed that Yadav was hit above his eye by a bullet as he stepped out of his vehicle at the location near the gas godown in the Shahbazpur area. The operation had been initiated after an alleged member of the cattle smugglers' gang provided information about their activities.

The police acted swiftly on the tip and were met with gunfire as they attempted to apprehend the criminals. The district police shared the heartbreaking news on X, formerly known as Twitter.
