Big Relief To Parents In Delhi As Kejriwal Government Orders 15% Cut In School Fees

New Delhi, July 1 (TNA) In a big relief to parents, the Arvind Kejriwal government in New Delhi has directed all private schools to slash the fees by 15%. The orders have been conveyed to the management of all schools, seeking strict compliance.

Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia who also heads the education department said that the orders were for the academic session of 2020-21 due to the fact that many parents are facing acute shortage of funds due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Officials also explained that in case the fees has already been charges they will either have to return it to parents or have the option of adjusting it in the fees of coming months.

The orders are applicable on all the 450 schools of Delhi. Schools have also been asked to ensure that they do not throw out the students from school f the fees os not paid due to shortage of funds with the parents. This is a big relief to parents who at many places have suffered huge financial losses due to the pandemic.
