Another Blow To Atique Ahmed, SC Rejects Plea For Security And Safety

New Delhi, March 28 (TNA) In yet another blow to jailed and in-news mafia don-turned-politician Atique Ahmed, the Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected his plea for safety and security as he felt threat to his life. The apex court while turning down his plea asked him to instead approach the High Court.

The Supreme Court said that you are alone like this, you are already in judicial custody, what security do you need and refused to hear about his security concerns. Atique Ahmed had demanded protection from the Supreme Court stating that his life was in danger.

He had also pleaded that he not be transferred from Sabarmati jail in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Uttar Pradesh as he feared for his life. The don however is already in Prayagraj and is being produced in the court today. He travelled on road for 1300 km in media glare to come to Prayagraj, where he is accsued in more than 100 cases.
