After Outcry, I&B Ministry Seeks Explanation From Amazon Prime Video On Content Tandav Web Series

Mumbai, January 18 (TNA) After outcry on the social media and many parts of the country over some slanderous content on recently releases web series Tandav, the union information and broadcasting ministry has sought an explanation from Amazon Prime, Video, where it is being played.

The ministry has asked Amazon Prime Video to reply by Monday, sources said. Maharashtra BJP lawmaker Ram Kadam has filed a complaint against its makers at Ghatkopar police station, alleging insult to Hindu deities in the web series. After registering the complaint, Ram Kadam said, "There should be strict action against the actor, director and producer of the web series."

Tandav stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Dino Morea, Kumud Mishra, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub, Gauhar Khan and Kritika Kamra premiered on the streaming platform on Friday. Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar along with Himanshu Kishan Mehra has produced and directed this film based on politics. It is written by Gaurav Solanki, who is known for 'Article 15'.
