After Four Long Years GoI Reinstates Law Commission, Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi Named Chairperson
New Delhi, Nov 7 (TNA) The Government of India on Monday reinstated the Law Commission of India after a 4 year hiatus. The Centre appointed Retired Karnataka HC Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi as the new Chairperson of the Law Commission of India. Five new members of the Commission have also been appointed.
While Justice Rituraj Awasthi, Retired HC Chief Justice has been named as Chairperson, Justice KT Sankaran, Prof. Anand Paliwal, Prof. DP Verma, Prof. (Dr) Raka Arya and M. Karunanithi have been named as Members of the Commission.
