MUMBAI || On a day of frantic activity in Mumbai, while it started with bulldozers of the BMC whirring their way to the residence of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and ripping apart some section with "illegal alterations" as per the municipal body, the actress had the last laugh as the Bombay High Court stayed Shiv Sena-led BMC's demolition at Manikarnika films' office.

The HC has also asked the civic body to file a reply on the actor's petition. The court will hear the matter on Thursday. The lawyer of the actress had pleaded before the court that the BMC action was illegal. Ranaut who headed to Mumbai from Himachal Pradesh earlier in the day said that she was not afraid of the threats from goons and the government. She also referred to Mumbai as PoK.

The actor said it is not a building for her but it is her 'Ram temple' and lashed out at BMC saying that 'today Babur has come there, today history will repeat itself.' "Ram temple will be broken again but remember Babar this temple will be built again, this temple will be built again, Jai Shri Ram," Kangana said in a tweet.

On Tuesday, the had BMC issued a 'stop work notice' to Kangana Ranaut under section 354(A) of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act and has told the Bollywood actor to produce permission within 24 hours. However, BMC officials on Wednesday pasted a new notice at her office and proceeded to break open the lock of the premises, bringing in heavy mechanised equipment
