After A Brief Overnight Respite, Rains Return To Haunt Mumbai
Mumbai, July 19 (TNA) After night of respite, rains returned to worry Mumbai and the suburbs on Monday morning . At some places there was intermittent rains in the night, leading to water logging and traffic jams in some areas.
It is raining in South Central Mumbai along with the Western and Eastern suburbs of Mumbai. On Monday at 6.58 pm the sea was at a high tide of 3.65 meters.
Combination of high tide and rain may increase Mumbai's difficulties, teh Met office has predicted. The Meteorological Department has indicated to the people of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad and Konkan to be alert for the next 48 hours.
There is also a warning of heavy rain in Marathwada, West Maharastra of Maharastra. Rain-related incidents including landslides had killed 20 people in Mumbai over the last 48-hours.
