88th Indian Air Force (IAF) Day Today, Main Event At Hindon

LUCKNOW || The 88th Indian Air Force (IAF) Day is being celebrated across the country on Thursday. The IAF was established in 1932. The main parade will be at the Hindon Air Base at 8:20 am. After a month long practice, Group Captain Sagar Paranjpe from Pune has been selected as the Parade Commander for this year's parade.

He is the first to get such double honour in the history of IAF as the 49-year-old led the parade also in year 2018. The event will be telecast live from 0820h onwards on "DD India" and also on YouTube. During the parade, Presidents awards will be presented to the award winners.

Two posthumous awards will be received by the martyrs' wives who have now become newly commissioned lady officers. Also Balakot operation heroes will be given their awards. This will be followed by an awesome aerobatics display by all our modern & vintage aircraft fleets including the latest - the Rafale.
