26 Lakh Indian WhatsApp Accounts Banned In September

New Delhi, Nov 2 (TNA) In the month of September, more than 26 lakh WhatsApp accounts were banned in India. Information regading this has been given by the company in its monthly report. The company spokesperson said in a statement that according to the IT Rules 2021, WhatsApp has published the report for the month of September 2022.

This user-safety report details the complaints received and the action taken by WhatsApp. In addition, it also includes the steps taken by the Company to combat misuse on our Platform. A WhatsApp spokesperson said, “WhatsApp is an industry leader in preventing abuse, among end-to-end encrypted messaging services.”

The statement further said: “Over the years, we have consistently invested in artificial intelligence and other state-of-the-art technology, data scientists and experts, and in processes, in order to keep our users safe on our platform.”
