New Twist In Sushant Singh Rajput Case, NCB Registers Case Against Rhea

MUMBAI || Amid the ongoing probe in the high-profile Sushant Singh Rajput death case, in a fresh twist, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty, reportedly based on WhatsApp chats recovered from her phone during investigations.

The NCB has begun an inquiry under sections in the law related to possessing, purchasing and using Cannabis and "abetment and criminal conspiracy to commit an offence" under the anti-drug law.

Her lawyer however trashed all such allegations and clarified that she has "never consumed drugs in her life".

Rhea is also said to have volunteered to undergo a blood test so that he claims can be verified. The 34-year-old budding actor, with millions of fans, was found dead in his Mumbai flat on June 14.

There are many conspiracy theories doing the rounds ever since. The CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are also probing various aspects of SSR's death.

According to reports, the ED had come across "some WhatsApp chats" during its probe about possible money laundering angle. Rhea is likely to be questioned by the CBI son.
