CBI Calls Rhea Chakraborty For Questioning In Sushant Singh Rajput's Death Case

In an interview to a national television channel recently, Rhea slammed the media for the "unnecessary and one sided trial".

MUMBAI || The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which was asked by the Supreme Court (SC) to probe the Sushant Singh Rajpur death, as demanded by his father, has summoned the late actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for questioning.

Sushant's father, in a FIR to the Patna police in Bihar had alleged that the 28-year-old actor mentally harassed him, took his money and drove him to suicide. Rhea has vehemently denied these allegations and accused the late actor's family of disrespecting his memories once he is no more.

The FIR, which is now the basis of CBI probe, accuses Rhea Chakraborty, her parents and brother Showik among others of driving the talented actor to kill himself. Rhea Chakraborty's father and brother have been questioned by investigators and Sushant Singh Rajput's flat-mate Siddharth Pithani has been questioned for seven days.

In an interview to a national television channel recently, Rhea slammed the media for the "unnecessary and one sided trial". She said she trusted the judicial system and in fact it was her who had demanded to the union home minister Amit Shah to order a CBI investigation so that she could as well know what drove Sushant to take this extreme step.

She also threatened that the way she and her family were being "mentally and physically lynched," had it not been for her belief that she had done no wrong and that justice would be done.
