Bollywood Biggies Approach Delhi HC Against Media Three Media Channels For Maligning Industry

MUMBAI || 34 Bollywood producers have appealed to the Delhi High Court to stop the campaign to discredit Bollywood by Republic TV, Times Now and some social media groups. These include Aamir Khan Productions, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan, Yash Raj.

They have demanded in the Delhi High Court through an appeal that the said TV channels are continuously trashing the reputation of Bollywood without any tangible proof. Bollywood has been described as a drug base, a dirty place, a criminal and a mafia base.

These channels are doing the Investigation themselves and are giving the decision like court. Due to which the film industry has become a crisis. The livelihood of millions of people is associated with this industry. Therefore, they should be instructed to follow the TV news guidelines.

The plaintiffs also includesThe Producers Guild of India. The plea seeks to refrain the channels from making "irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory remarks against Bollywood" and to restrain them from "conducting media trials of Bollywood personalities." It comes in the wake of the media reports around the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
