नीब करौरी बाबा की अनंत कथाएँ: वो हनुमानगढ़ गए हैं, अभी आते होंगे, पूड़ी बनाओ!

एक दिन बाबा ने कहा,"वह हनुमानगढ़ गए हैं।" किसी को समझ नहीं आया कि बाबा किसकी बात कर रहे हैं।कुछ देर बाद उन्होंने कहा,"वह अभी यहाँ आएगा। उसे भूख लगी है।उसके लिए ताजी पूरियाँ और सब्जियाँ बनाइए।"फिर उन्होंने मुझसे कहा,"एक गैस लैंप के साथ जाओ और पुल के पार खड़े हो जाओ।बूढ़े आदमी को हाथ से पकड़कर पुल को सावधानी से पार करने में उसकी मदद करो।उसके बेटे उसकी देखभाल नहीं करेंगे।"जैसे ही अँधेरा हुआ,आश्रम के गेट के सामने एक कार रुकी। एक बूढ़ा और उसके दो बेटे कार से उतरे। मुझे वहाँ देखकर बूढ़े ने कहा,"क्या बाबा ने तुम्हें हमारे साथ चलने के लिए भेजा है?"

मैंने हां कहा तो उसकी आंखें नम हो गईं।इस बीच उनके दो बेटे अपने बूढ़े पिता की मदद करना भूल गए,और पुल पार कर गए।मैंने सावधानी से उसको पुल पार करने में मदद की और उसे बाबा के पास ले गया।वृद्ध ने बाबा के चरणों में प्रणाम किया। उसकी आंखों से आंसू छलक पड़े।बाबा ने उसे खाने के लिए गर्म खाना दिया और प्यार से विदा किया।बूढ़ा आदमी रामनारायण सिन्हा था जो नैनीताल में राज्यपाल के आवास पर अपने बेटे को देखने आया था,और उसने कहा था कि वह बाबा के दर्शन करने के बाद ही अपना भोजन करेगा।

One day Baba said,"He has gone to Hanumangarh." Nobody understood who Baba was referring to.After some time he said,"He will come here just now. He is hungry.Prepare fresh puris and vegetables for him."He then said to me, "Go with a gas lamp and stand across the bridge. Hold the old man by the hand and help him cross the bridge carefully. His sons will not take care of him.

"It was dark when a car stopped in front of the ashram gate. An old man and his two sons got out of the car. Seeing me there the old man said, "Has Baba sent you to escort us?" When I said yes,his eyes became moist.Meanwhile his two sons had crossed thebridge,forgetting to help their old father. I helped him cross the bridge carefully and took him to Baba.The old man prostrated himself at Baba's feet.

Tears flowed from his eyes. Baba gave him warm food to eat and sent him off lovingly.The old man was Ram Narain Sinha who had come to see his son at governor's residence in Nainital, and had said that he would eat his meal only after having Baba's darshan.
