NOIDA || In a major success, the Noida Police on Friday busted a racket which was producing duplicate products of the multi-national giant Hindustan Level Limited, an official informed. Based on a complaint, the police raided the premises of a Rambeer near sector 81, Metro station to find a truck being loaded with products.
When the products and items were verified they were found to be duplicate though they had almost real looking product stickers on them, an official said.
On questioning the labourers told the police that they were daily wagers and that the consignment belonged to a certain Sunny, resident of flat # 1301, sector 106, Noida. When the police approached their house, Sunny and his accomplice Ankur fled.
The product consignment has since been seized by the police and a case (Case No 468/20) under section 63 of the Copyright Act was slapped on the accused. Police has also seized large quantity of Surf Excel, Vim bar liquid, Colin, Dettol, Harpic - all fake and duplicate.
