A Week After 13-Year-Old Was Raped-Killed, A Class XII Student Found Dead In UP's Lakhimpur Kheri

LUCKNOW || Barely a week after a 13-year-old was raped and murdered in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, a class XIIth student was found murdered, her body found near the village pond. It is feared that she too was raped before being killed.

The body of a Class 12 student resident of village Neemgaon police station area was found lying on the bank of a pond outside the village this morning. The student was murdered with a sharp weapon.

The girl had gone to her college on Monday for some work but did not return home till evening, after which the family members panicked and on not finding her informed the police. Neemgaon police officials said that a case has been registered and a probe is underway.
