Jammu, November 5 (TNA) The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has introduced an alternative mechanism for delivering One-Time Passwords (OTPs) for the PROOF App through the Sandes App, following the discontinuation of the earlier SMS-based service.
As per a circular issued by the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, the SMS-based OTP service previously used by the PROOF App has been discontinued, causing difficulties for users in receiving authentication codes required to access the application.
To address the issue and ensure uninterrupted access to the PROOF App, the Finance Department has implemented an alternative OTP delivery mechanism through the Sandes App. The circular directs all Administrative Departments to inform concerned officers and officials using the PROOF App about the revised arrangement and advise them to install the Sandes App on their mobile devices to receive OTPs required for authentication.
Administrative Secretaries have also been asked to ensure that the instructions are widely circulated among all officers and officials under their administrative control for information and necessary compliance. The department has emphasised that the revised mechanism will facilitate continued access to the PROOF App following the discontinuation of SMS-based OTP delivery.
The circular, issued with the approval of the competent authority, has been circulated to all Administrative Secretaries for necessary action.
