Pawan Kalyan turns 55; PM Modi, fans, leaders extend birthday wishes

Amaravati, September 2 (TNA) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan turned 55 on Wednesday, with fans, film personalities and political leaders extending greetings to the actor-politician on social media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among those who wished him on his birthday.

Born on September 2, 1971, in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan-born Konidela Kalyan Babu-built a major following in Telugu cinema before entering politics and founding the Jana Sena Party in 2014.

Popularly known as “Power Star” among his fans, Kalyan has acted in several successful Telugu films and remains one of the industry’s most high-profile actor-politicians. He assumed office as Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister after the 2024 Assembly elections.

Birthday messages and fan celebrations were widely shared online, with supporters marking the occasion through social-service activities, film tributes and posts celebrating his journey from cinema to public life. Prime Minister Modi also wished him through a message on social media.
