Born Timothy James Curry on April 19, 1946, in Grappenhall, Cheshire, England, Curry built a career defined by range and risk. He studied at Birmingham University, began acting in stage productions and soon emerged as a theatrical force, later originating the role of Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show before bringing the character to the screen in the 1975 film adaptation.
