Gaza, October 11 (TNA) Israeli airstrikes heavily hit several areas of the Gaza Strip, destroying residential buildings and damaging dozens of nearby structures, according to local sources and witnesses. The strikes reportedly targeted homes in Gaza City’s Shuja’iyya, Al-17 and Rimal areas, as well as a residential property in Deir al-Balah. At least four homes were destroyed, while surrounding buildings were also damaged.

The attacks followed evacuation warnings issued to residents in the affected areas. Families were forced to flee their homes as Israeli aircraft carried out strikes across parts of northern and central Gaza.

An Israeli strike on an apartment building in Gaza City’s Rimal neighbourhood reportedly killed five Palestinians, including four women, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency and hospital officials. The attack destroyed part of the building and sparked a fire.

Palestinian medical sources also reported that separate Israeli strikes near Panda Mall and in Gaza City’s Tuffah neighbourhood killed at least five people. Several others were wounded in the attacks.

The Israeli military has said its operations are aimed at Hamas and other armed groups, accusing them of rearming and violating the ceasefire. Hamas has denied the allegations and accused Israel of undermining the truce.

Rescue teams continued searching damaged buildings and clearing rubble, while residents faced renewed displacement and worsening humanitarian conditions across the Gaza Strip.
