California, September 9 (TNA) Apple on Wednesday unveiled its new flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, introducing major upgrades in artificial intelligence, performance, battery life and camera capabilities at its annual September hardware event.
The new Pro models are expected to feature Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip, designed to power more advanced on-device AI functions, improve energy efficiency and deliver faster performance for gaming, video editing and daily tasks. Reports ahead of the launch had also pointed to a redesigned front display with a smaller Dynamic Island, enhanced thermal management and upgraded camera hardware.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is likely to be the larger and more feature-packed of the two models, with reports indicating a possible variable-aperture main camera, improved zoom capabilities and expanded storage options. The devices are expected to run Apple’s latest software with deeper AI integration across writing tools, photography, voice assistance and personalisation features.
In India, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to start at around ₹1,39,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could be priced from roughly ₹1,59,900, though Apple’s official India pricing and configuration-wise rates are awaited. Higher-capacity iPhone 18 Pro Max variants, including the rumoured 1TB and 2TB models, could cross the ₹2 lakh mark.
Pre-orders for the new iPhone 18 Pro series are expected to begin on September 12, with retail availability tipped for September 18, although Apple had not independently confirmed the India sales schedule before the launch event.
