Lucknow, September 14 (TNA) Bestselling author Amish Tripathi will engage with readers, students and literature enthusiasts at a special literary evening at the Universal Booksellers in the state capital on September 16. The evening is set to be centred around his debut children’s book, Dhruv-Tara & The Great Indian History Quiz.
The event offers attendees a closer look at the author’s transition from mythological epics to middle-grade adventure fiction. During the session, Tripathi will share the inspiration behind creating a contemporary narrative designed to connect young readers with Indian history through engaging storytelling rather than traditional classroom rote learning.
Venturing into children’s fiction
Published under Westland Books’ children’s imprint Red Panda, Dhruv-Tara & The Great Indian History Quiz marks the first instalment in a planned seven-book middle-grade series aimed at young readers aged 8 to 15.
The storyline revolves around two sharp 11-year-old classroom rivals from Mumbai-Dhruv Trivedi and Tara Dhoba-who are forced to set aside their differences and team up to represent their school in a prestigious nationwide competition titled ‘The Great Indian History Quiz’.
Tripathi will be in conversation with Dr Sheeba Rakesh, Programme Executive, Akashwani, Lucknow, at the Universal Booksellers at their Gomtinagar outlet. The event starts at 5 pm, organiser Gaurav Prakash informed.
