Riyadh, October 10 (TNA) The King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s capital was attacked again on Saturday, forcing the evacuation of the facility and the suspension of air traffic, according to two regional officials. The latest strike came two days after attacks on the airport killed three Saudi citizens, including a pilot.

One official said the airport was evacuated after the latest attack, while another reported that flight operations had been halted. Several flights bound for Riyadh were diverted, and airlines began cancelling services following the incident.

The latest attack was reported amid an escalation in missile strikes by Yemen’s Houthi movement against Saudi targets. The Houthis have claimed responsibility for earlier attacks on King Khalid International Airport, saying they used ballistic and cruise missiles.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said two attacks on the Riyadh airport on Thursday targeted airport facilities and a Saudia aircraft. Three Saudi nationals were killed, and several others were injured, according to the authority.

The attacks have disrupted aviation across the region. Air India and Air India Express had suspended flights to and from Riyadh until October 10 after the earlier strikes, while airlines operating in the region reviewed schedules and rerouted aircraft amid heightened security concerns.

Authorities have not yet released a full assessment of the damage or casualties from Saturday’s attack. Emergency and security teams were deployed at the airport as officials continued to assess the situation.
