Dhaka, September 23 (TNA) A Dhaka court has sent 3 leaders and activists of Bangladesh’s banned Awami League and its front organisations to jail over their alleged involvement in a procession in the capital on September 11.
The case relates to a procession in the Gulshan area during which police said crude bombs were allegedly exploded, creating panic in the area. Police had earlier made arrests at the spot and later carried out further investigations, including reviewing CCTV footage and videos linked to the procession.
A case was subsequently filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act, with the latest court order coming as part of the ongoing investigation.
