Billings, Montana, August 27 (TNA) A horrific family tragedy in Billings has left eight people dead, including four children, after a shooting and fire at a home where relatives had gathered for Sunday dinner. Authorities said the victims came from four generations of one blended family, ranging from a great-grandmother in her 90s to a 7-year-old girl.

Police said the incident began as a “family disturbance” on Sunday evening before gunfire broke out and the residence was engulfed in flames. Investigators later confirmed that eight victims were recovered, with four adults and four children among the dead.

Family members identified the dead as the suspect’s relatives, including his former wife, their children, his parents and grandmother, along with two stepchildren from the family. Officials said the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The case has shaken the Billings community, with investigators continuing to work through the damaged structure as recovery efforts continue. Authorities have described the incident as one of the most devastating family crimes in the area in recent memory.
