Lucknow, September 25 (TNA) Senior Samajwadi Party leader, former minister and ex-Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary died on Wednesday night at PGI Lucknow at the age of 74, triggering a wave of grief in political circles.
According to reports, Chaudhary had been undergoing treatment at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow, where he breathed his last.
Chaudhary was one of the veteran faces of the Samajwadi Party and had served as Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly as well as in ministerial roles in the state. Leaders and supporters across party lines expressed condolences following the announcement of his death.
