Lucknow, September 20 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government has reassigned several departmental responsibilities among senior officials, according to an official order. The changes include portfolios related to health, education, agriculture, food and civil supplies, transport, environment, rural development and technical education.
Under the new arrangement, Additional Chief Secretary Amit Kumar Ghosh has been given additional charge of the Medical Education Department. He will continue to hold the portfolios of the Health and Family Welfare Department and the Medical Education Department.
Amrit Abhijat, Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Transport. Veena Kumari, IAS, Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change, has been given the additional charge of the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department and Medical Education.
Mahendra Prasad Agarwal, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, will also hold the portfolios of Forest, Environment and Climate Change. Anil Kumar, Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj, has been assigned additional responsibility for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
Dr Rajesh Kumar Sudhiram, Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment and Technical Education, has been given charge of Agriculture Education and Research. He will also oversee Agriculture Marketing, Agriculture Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
Ravindra, Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Agriculture Education and Research, Agriculture Marketing, Agriculture Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, and Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Agricultural Produce Market Board, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Panchayati Raj.
