Greater Noida, October 17 (TNA) Five members of a family, including three children, were found dead at their home in Nagla Shri Padam village in the Rabupura area on Saturday morning, police said. The deceased were identified as Mahesh, 37, his wife Lalita, 35, and their children—Laddu, 11, Mishti, 7, and Sakshat, 3.

According to preliminary information, the family had eaten noodles on Friday night. Police are examining possible food poisoning as one of the suspected causes, but the exact reason for the deaths has not yet been established.

The deaths came to light after information was received at Rabupura police station on Saturday morning. Police teams, senior officials, an ambulance and personnel from the Food Safety Department reached the village after receiving the alert.

The bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations. Forensic teams also visited the house, and samples are expected to be examined to determine whether contaminated food or another factor caused the deaths.

Police said all five family members were found dead inside the residence under suspicious circumstances. Officials are questioning relatives and neighbours as part of the investigation. Authorities said the final cause of death would be established only after the post-mortem reports, forensic examination and other scientific evidence are assessed. Further action will be taken accordingly.
