Three Killed As Fire Breaks Out After Explosion In Steel Plant In Jharkhand

Ranchi, August 22 (TNA) At least three people were killed and one person was injured after a fire broke out at a steel plant in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district late Friday night, police said.

According to preliminary information, the fire started in the plant’s main control room in Hehal, Bhurkunda, and spread quickly across the area, triggering panic among workers and employees present on the premises.

Reports said the blaze followed an explosion at the plant, and the victims were badly burned in the incident. The deceased were identified as the factory’s shift in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Kesari, along with Vineet Mahato and Abhishek Pandey. 

The injured worker, Tarun Rajwar from Hazaribag, was taken to a hospital for treatment, while officials and police began an inquiry into the cause of the fire and possible lapses in safety measures.
