Mumbai/Kota, October 19 (TNA) Three men suspected of opening fire at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area have been arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan, police said on Monday. The suspects were apprehended while travelling on a train from Mumbai towards Delhi. The operation was carried out by the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force, Kota City Police and railway police on the basis of information shared by Mumbai Police.

The accused have been identified as Rehan alias Sukka, 18, from Sonipat in Haryana, Hritik Kurmi alias Roshan Fighter, 22, from Begusarai in Bihar, and a third accused whose identity has not been disclosed. Reports initially differed on the age of the third suspect, and authorities were verifying the details.

According to Rajasthan Police, the suspects were allegedly lured with the promise of substantial payment and assistance in settling abroad. Investigators are examining whether the attack was linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang after a purported social-media claim of responsibility surfaced following the incident.

The firing took place around 7 pm on Sunday near Pushpa Park in Juhu, as Shroff was leaving a football session. The attackers allegedly fired at his vehicle before fleeing the area on a motorcycle. Shroff escaped unharmed, but his driver, Firdosh, suffered a bullet injury to his left hand. A bystander was also injured in the incident, and both victims were reported to be stable.

Mumbai Police had registered a case against three unidentified persons under charges including attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Arms Act. The Mumbai Crime Branch is examining CCTV footage, ballistic evidence and the suspects’ movements before and after the shooting.

The arrested men are expected to be handed over to Mumbai Police for further questioning and legal proceedings. Investigators are also trying to establish who allegedly commissioned the attack, how the weapons were obtained and whether additional people were involved.

The arrests came less than 24 hours after the shooting, as Maharashtra authorities faced criticism over the attack and concerns over the return of organised gang violence in Mumbai.
