Jammu, August 28 (TNA) On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, schoolgirls visited the 187 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and tied Rakhis to officers and jawans stationed at the unit. The celebration was attended by 187 Battalion Commandant Manish Kumar Yadav, who interacted with the students and thanked them for making the festival special for the CRPF personnel.

The jawans and officers expressed their gratitude to the schoolgirls, saying that such celebrations boost their morale and strengthen their sense of connection with families and society. They said that observing festivals with members of the community becomes particularly meaningful for personnel who often remain away from their families while performing their duties.

The schoolgirls said they felt honoured to tie Rakhis to the CRPF personnel, acknowledging their commitment to protecting the nation. They appreciated the sacrifices made by security personnel who continue to discharge their duties even during important festivals.

The celebration reflected the spirit of Raksha Bandhan and highlighted the bond of affection, respect and gratitude between the younger generation and the country's security forces. The interaction also provided an opportunity for the students to express their appreciation for the personnel serving the nation.
