New Delhi, August 22 (TNA) The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, has released the complete list of 48 teachers selected for the National Teachers Awards 2026, ahead of the conferment ceremony to be held by President Droupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on September 5.
The list, drawn from a three-stage selection process at the district, state and national levels, includes teachers from 27 states, seven Union Territories and six central government organisations, including the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, Sainik Schools, CBSE and CISCE.
Uttar Pradesh's Three Awardees
Uttar Pradesh has three teachers on the list this year: Dr Renu Tripathi of Government Balika Inter College, Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad; Dr Iftkhar Khan of Government Inter College, Jagdishpur, Ballia; and Shalini Kushwaha of Composite School, Rasoolabad, Koilaha.
The awardees were selected through online self-nomination invited by the Ministry of Education's National Teachers Awards portal between June 15 and July 20, 2026, followed by scrutiny at the district, state and national levels. Of the 48 selected, 26 are men and 22 are women.
