Jalandhar, November 1 (TNA) Vidit Olak, the nephew of singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, died in a road accident in Punjab’s Jalandhar in the early hours of Sunday. His friend Aarav Talwar was also killed in the crash, according to reports.
The accident reportedly took place at around 3:30 a.m. near the Police Lines area. The Volkswagen car carrying the two men collided with a stationary Municipal Corporation tractor-trolley on a flyover.
According to preliminary reports, Vidit and Aarav were returning home after attending a birthday celebration when the accident occurred. The impact was severe, and both men died in the crash.
Police have begun investigating the circumstances of the collision, including the positioning of the stationary vehicle and the speed of the car. Further details about the case are awaited.
Honey Singh shared an emotional message on social media after learning about his nephew’s death. Mourning Vidit, the rapper described the loss as an extremely painful personal tragedy and asked his followers to pray for the family.
Vidit was reportedly associated with music production and was the son of Dinesh Auluck, who owns Speed Records. The accident has sent shockwaves through the family and the Punjabi music industry.
The bodies were taken for post-mortem examination as police continued to collect evidence from the accident site. Investigators are expected to examine CCTV footage from the flyover and record statements from witnesses.
