LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be addressing his maiden ‘virtual’ presser in the state capital on Sunday, an official informed on Saturday. According to Avaneesh Kumar Awasthi, the additional chief secretary (Home and Information), the chief minister would be doing the press conference on the Zoom platform.
While there is palpable excitement in the local media for this would be the first of its kind press interaction there were also questions on the use of Zoom, which is a Chinese platform and also one which the union ministry of Home Affairs has asked people and institutions to be cautious of.
According to officials, the chief minister shall also take questions from the media. So far only former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been widely using the new interface in the COVID-19 times, to interact with the media.
Officials also said that the guidelines to be implemented in the state with regards to the ‘Unlock-1’ announced by the MHA earlier in the day, will also be issued on Sunday.
