LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday directed officials of the state government to provide all basic facilities to COVID- affected persons. He also asked to ramp up COVID testings to one lakh per day, out of which 40,000 per day by RTPCR while 65,000 by Rapid Antigen method.
Asserting that there should not be any shortage of funds for this, he asked to make available Rs 3 crore to the districts below 25 lakh of population and Rs five crore to the district above 25 lakh population.
Presiding over the unlock review meeting at his official residence he said that the amount made available to the districts should be spent on the recommendation of the committee of DM, CDO and CMO. The Chief Minister said there should be the availability of beds for Corona infected person.
He asked to ensure the adequate number of beds in L-2 and L-3 COVID hospitals. All the doctors should take rounds in the hospitals whereas the availability of oxygen and ventilators should be ensured in the hospitals as per their category. The Chief Minister asked to use technology in monitoring of home isolated patients.
The Chief Minister asked the Director, SGPGI to send teams of experts to Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Bareilly. Jhansi and Gorakhpur where special efforts should be made to improve the treatment facilities.
He also directed that the DM, CMO, Principal of Medical College, Senior Faculty, the Deputy CMO In-charge of COVID hospitals and ventilator operators to be present during the visit of such teams of experts. He directed to constitute a team for better coordination in Lucknow as well. These teams will visit COVID hospitals and ensure further arrangements to augment health services.
