LUCKNOW || The weather took a sudden turn in the state capital of Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning as heavy rains hit the city at dawn. Many neighbouring areas like Barabanki, Hardoi, Kanpur, Unnao have also been lashed by the sudden downpour.
While it has been turning chilly for the last 24-hours, it was largely due to the snowfall in the neighbouring hill state of Uttarakhand, the bite has been added due to the rains.
The Regional Met Office said the rains are the result of depression and that the winters have finally hit home.
Many people had been complaining of “not so cold” in this part of the year, unlike previous years when mid-December was quite cold. The weatherman also said that the western parts of the state, including Ghaziabad and Noida, have also been hit by changing weather. The rains are likely to continue for the next 24-hours.
