Bareilly || Uttarakhand’s education minister Arvind Pandey lost his youngest son in a road mishap in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh late on Tuesday, police said. 24-year-old Ankur Pandey, was on way to Gorakhpur from his home town Udhamsingh Nagar for a wedding when the accident took place.
An official told The News Agency that two others in the car were also killed on the spot after the driver lost balance and control over the car and met with the accident. Another victim has been identified as Munna Giri.
The minister, who was in Dehradun owing to the ongoing budget session of the Uttarakhand State Assembly has since rushed to the scene of the accident.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has mourned the death of Ankur and has extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
