LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday called upon officials to pay extra attention to Lucknow, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar in state government's fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
Presiding over a review meeting of unlock here today at Lok Bhawan, he directed the Additional Chief Secretary, Health to further strengthen the health services at the District Hospitals, Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres. Similarly, the Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education should ensure this in the Medical Colleges and Medical Institutes.
He also directed officials to ensure adequate availability of testing kits. He said that there should be sufficient backup of testing kits in the hospitals, medical colleges and medical institutes. Underlining the importance of testing in the Covid-19 control, he said the testing work should continue actively.
The chief minister also issued directions for ensuring availability of the oxygen in all the hospitals and medical colleges. The oxygen should be available on the prescribed rate and guard against its black marketing. He asked the Chief Secretary office to maintain a dialogue with the District Administrations to monitor treatment and other health services.
Laying emphasis on the protection and safety from Covid-19, the Chief Minister said the various modes of communication should be used to create mass awareness in this regard.
The Transport, Health and Police departments should work in tandem to spread the messages about traffic safety and Covid-19 prevention through public address system at crossings and markets. He also asked to run Covid help desks actively.
