UP Police Constitutes Nine-Member Monitoring Committee For Lakhimpur Kheri Incident

Lucknow, Oct 7 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday constituted a 9-member monitoring committee to look into the Lakhimpur Kheri violance on Sunday which left nine persons dead. The committee will be headed by DIG (Headquarters) Upendra Agrawal.

The committee will probe the charges against Ashish Mishra aka Monu, son of Ajay Mishra, the union minister of state for home. Otehr members of the high-powered committee include Sunil Kumar Singh; commandant 10th Battalion of PAC, Barabanki, Arun Kumar Singh (ASP Kheri), Sandeep Singh (CO; Mitauli Kheri), Sanjay Nath Tiwari; CO Gola, Kheri and Vidya Ram Diwakar (Inspector Crime Branch, Kheri).

Siya Ram verma (SHO Kheri Police Station), Dharm Prakash Shukla, In-charge Public Grieviances Cell and Shiv Kumar, Sub-Inspector, in-charge SWAT, Kheri who will act as the technical assistant to the committee.
