On Her Birthday, Mayawati Releases First List of 53 Candidates For UP Assembly Polls
Lucknow, January 15 (TNA) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) released the names of 53 party candidates for the first phase of state assembly polls, scheduled for February 10. Announcing the names on her birthday, party supremo Mayawati said that people of the state had by now realised that it was only her government that took care of every segment of the society.
The four-time chief minister also accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) of being anti-Dalit and trashed the claims by Swamy Prasad Maurya that it was he who made her the chief minister. “He cannot even win his own seat, how will he ensure anything else” she said in her imitable style.
Among the prominent names released in the BSP list are Rajendra Singh Upadhyaya (Kairana), Brijendra Malik from Shamli, Haji Mohammad Aneesh from Budhana, Salman Saeed from Charthawal, Sanjeev Kumar Dhama from Sardhana, Sanjeev Kumar Jatav from Hastinapur (SC), Mohd Shahin Chowdhary from Chaprauli and Kunwar Dilsahd Ali from Meerut South.
