Noted Film Maker Madhur Bhandarkar Meets Yogi In Lucknow, Greets Him For Film City Plans

LUCKNOW || Noted film maker Madhur Bhandarkar called on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday at the latter 5, Kalidas Marg official residence in the state capital, officials said. The meeting comes a day after theUP government announced that it was considering opening of a film city in the state.

Madhur Bhandarkar is a National Award-winning Indian film director, screenwriter and producer. His films Chandni Bar (2001), Page 3 (2005), Traffic Signal (2007) and Fashion (2008) have been very popular.

During the meeting which lasted 20 minutes, the Bollywood film directed greeted the monk-turned-politician for the plans of a film city and assured him all help in this initiative.

An official said that at the end of the meeting, the saffron-robed chief minister gifted Bhandarkar, a silver coin, Ramcharit Manas, Tulsi Mala and a coffee table book based on the Kumbh.
