No Respite Likely From Intense Cold Wave In UP For Some More Days

Lucknow, January 18 (TNA) Despite some sun showing up on Tuesday, the intense cold wave across Uttar Pradesh is likely to continue for some more days, the weatherman has said. The cold and fog has been attributed to the Western Disturbance, which is likely to get active on January 21 and further add to the bite.

Cold icy winds are blowing across most of Uttar Pradesh and the mercury has dipped to around 6 degrees celsius. Alongwith the fog, the day temperature is also stuck between 15 degrees and the night is between 6 to 7 degrees.

According to JP Gupta, director of the Zonal Meteorological Center, three continuous western disturbances are active. One happened on January 16th. The second will be active from Tuesday. Cloudy and rain are expected on 22nd and 23rd January.
