Nadda Unveils Lord Ram's Statue At UP BJP Headquarter In Lucknow

Lucknow, January 22 (TNA) National president of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) JP Nadda on Friday unveiled a life-sized statue of Lord Ram at the state unit office in the state capital.

The golden, metallic statue of Lord Ram was unveiled in the presence of senior party leaders, including state president Swatantra Dev Singh, chief minister Yogi Adityanath, deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and in-charge of the state Radha Mohan Singh.

Friday was the second day of Nadda's visit to UP, politically the most crucial state in the country. UP goes to polls to elect the state assembly in early 2022.

The saffron camp is likely to make the beginning of construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya a major election plank and the unveiling of the statue at the state party headquarters, political commentators feel, was a step in that direction.
