Massive Fire In Bareilly Tent Warehouse: Three Firefighters Injured, Woman Missing

Bareilly, Nov 5 (TNA) A massive fire broke out in a tent warehouse injuring three, police said on Friday. The incident happened late on Thursday night in Bara Bazaar of Bareilly district and a woman is missing after the incident. All the injured were firefighters.

The incident happened at the Pankaj Traders in Gali Nawaban located in Bareilly Kotwali area. A fire broke out on the second floor of the godown at around 9:00 pm on Thursday amid Diwali festivities. On information, the fire brigade team reached the spot but by then the fire had engulfed the entire warehouse and gutted it.

After some time the fire reached the first floor also and a woman of the family got trapped in it. They were trying to put out the fire but all efforts were in vain. Meanwhile, at around 11 pm, a cylinder kept in the kitchen of the house caught fire and exploded.

Three employees of the fire brigade were injured due to this. Two of them have been admitted to the district hospital, but one has been admitted to the ICU of a private hospital as his condition is critical. The woman trapped in the fire could not be traced till late night. Some part of the house has also been damaged due to cylinder blast.
