Lucknow Sets New All-Time High COVID Record: 1244 New Cases, 16 Deaths In One Day

LUCKNOW || The state capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow on Friday set a new ominous record of 1244 fresh cases of Coronavirus. According to the data released by the state's health department, the city also reported 16 deaths due to COVID in the past 24-hours. With this the total number of people who have been claimed by the deadly virus in the state capital rose to 576.

The number of active cases in Lucknow now stands at 10044. 970 people have been discharged in the last one day. Kanpur city has also reported a spike in the number of fresh COVID cases with 407 new cases and 13 more deaths.

Cases have also risen in Prayagraj - 336 in the last one day and three deaths. Gorakhpur, the home town for years of chief minister Yogi Adityanath has reported 203 new cases of COVID and seven deaths in the past 24-hours.

Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi has logged 239 cases and two deaths in one day while Ghaziabad has reported 191 new cases. Noida has reported 134 cases, Jhansi 145, Saharanur 119, Ayodhya 116 and Agra 88.
