Lucknow Metro Sets Honesty Bar, Returns Cash-Golden Bangles Lost By Commuter Six Months Back
LUCKNOW || The Lucknow Metro other than its punctuality, cleanliness and eco-friendliness has also endeared itself to the commuters because of its honest and dedicated staffers and employees. On Tuesday, this quality came to the fore when they found a handbag containing a gold bangle and Rs 16,220 was returned to its rightful owner after more than six months.
The bag belonged to Anju Aggarwal. She lost her bag inside the train on March 9, while travelling in the Metro, since then the bag was unclaimed and kept at the “Lost and Found” cell of UPMRC. UPMRC staff contacted her with the help of her visiting card found inside the bag in march but due to some reasons, she was unable to come and collect her bag at that time.
But after six months, Anju Aggarwal, an advocate in High Court came to the Metro Station where after completing all the formalities she got back all her belongings. After receiving her bag, a joyous commuter couldn't stop thanking Lucknow Metro staff for their integrity and dedication towards passenger service.
Right from providing immediate first aid to the needy, or reconciling parents with their children who are left behind at stations and to returning numerous belongings left behind by the passengers, the Lucknow metro team ensures that every passenger and belonging inside the metro premises if safe and secure.
Ever since the inauguration of commercial services on the entire North-South corridor on March 8, 2019, cases of passengers forgetting their belongings inside the trains or stations have gone up manifold and the UPMRC team is winning hearts by its prompt action to return the belongings to their rightful owners safely.
