Guest House Manager In Meerut Kills Self, Wife And Poisons Daughter

MEERUT || in a shocking incident, a manger of a guest house reportedly killed his wife after giving her poison-laced food, attempted to murder his daughter and then committed suicide by hanging himself in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday night, police said.

The crime was committed at the Everest Guest House near the Bhainsali Roadways Bus Stand.

According to information available, the deceased manager Arvind (40) hailed from Gujarat and had first joined as a security guard at the guest house and had recently been elevated as the manager. A senior police official said that they were trying to piece together evidences from his room on why he took this extreme step.

The bodies of the couple have been sent for post-mortem while their five-year-old daughter, who fell unconscious after being given and hence presumed dead by the man, is undergoing treatment at a medical facility.
